Tuition Information

  • Preschool 3-4

    • Application/Registration Fee - There is a $100.00 per child enrollment fee.
    • Tuition Plans:
      • Plan A – 7am-12pm = $395.00 per month
      • Plan B – 7am- 3pm = $595.00 per month
      • Plan C – 7am- 6pm = $695.00 per month
    *Tuition is pro-rated for students who enroll during the school year.
  • Grades K-8

    • Application/Registration Fee - There is a $50.00 per child application fee with the remaining balance of $250.00 registration fee due upon acceptance of enrollment.
    • Tuition Plans:
      • Tuition for Kindergarten- $7,950
      • Tuition 1st-8th - $8,750* per year
      • 2nd/3rd Child - Receives $200 yearly discount
    *Tuition is billed in 10 equal payments; first payment is due in July and last payment is due in April. Tuition is pro-rated for students who enroll during the school year.

    **St. Stephens Lutheran Church member children are eligible for a church-supported grant; contact the church or school office for grant information. To maintain the church member grant, St. Stephens Lutheran Church members are required to be “members in good standing” as evidenced by worship attendance (parent and child) at SSLC at least twice a month during the year.

  • Extended Care

    We offer morning and afternoon care for grades K-8.

    The rate for extended care is $4.00 per hour, with rates charged in 15-minute increments. 
  • School Lunch

    Our lunch program operates on a pre-payment basis; meals are deducted from the student’s lunch account balance. Parents are expected to pre-pay for lunches on a regular basis.
    • Preschool - $2.75 per day (includes milk, bottled water or juice)
    • Grades K-3 - $5.50 per day (includes milk, bottled water or juice)
    • Grades 4-8 - $5.75 per day (includes milk, bottled water or juice)
    • Extra milk/juice/bottled water (for lunch) - 50¢ day
    • Extra servings (depending on item) - $1.25 to $2.00
  • Snack Fee (Kindergarten)

    We provide extra milk, juice, or bottled water for “snack”, sold on a semester basis only for students in Grades Kdg; $35.00 per child per semester (due by the first day of each semester).
  • Late Payment Fees

    • Monthly billings are due on the 1st day of each month and are considered late after the 10th day of each month; a $25.00 late fee will be assessed to accounts not paid by the 10th day of the month.
    • Bank charges will be assessed for all returned checks.
    • All Fees are Non-Refundable

Admission Process:

  • 1. Schedule a Tour

    Call our office at 828-256-2166 to schedule a school tour with the Admission’s Department.
  • 2. Submit Enrollment Form

    Once tour has been completed, an enrollment form needs to be submitted to the office.
  • 3. Records & Recommendations

    Upon receiving enrollment form, the school will request records from the student’s current school, as well as recommendations from previous teachers and/or principal or guidance counselor.
  • 4. Academic Assessment

    After all records have been received, the resource teacher will contact you to schedule an in-house academic assessment test to help determine acceptance.
  • 5. Admissions Decision

    If all admissions requirements are satisfied, the SSLS principal or Admissions Department will notify the parent of an offer of enrollment.
  • 6. Admissions Deposit

    Deposit will be due within seven days of acceptance to secure your spot.
